Data Architect / Database Migration Engineer
Remote Role
Fulltime/W2- Infinite Computer Solutions
We re seeking a hands-on Data Architect / Database Migration Engineer to support an enterprise on-premises data center migration. You ll lead SQL Server database migration, validation, performance, and stabilization for business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and migrate SQL Server databases and dependencies
  • Design target database architecture and migration strategies
  • Execute backup/restore, replication, validation, reconciliation, cutover, and rollback
  • Develop T-SQL/SQL scripts and automation
  • Improve database performance, reliability, monitoring, and recovery
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, QA, security, and operations teams
  • Track delivery and changes using Jira and ServiceNow
Requirements
  • 8+ years in database engineering, architecture, or migration
  • Expert-level SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, indexing, and query tuning
  • Experience with data center/infrastructure database migrations
  • Strong knowledge of data validation, backup/recovery, performance tuning, and production support
  • Experience with Jira and ServiceNow
Nice to Have: Fintech/payments/banking experience, VMware, Windows Server, Splunk, Dynatrace, or Moogsoft.
