Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior SAP Batch Release Hub (BRH) Functional/Support Lead with deep expertise in SAP BRH and SAP S/4HANA Quality Management (QM) to lead solution design, production support, sustainment, and continuous improvement activities for clients in regulated Life Sciences environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP BRH implementation and production sustainment, strong SAP S/4HANA QM expertise, and a proven track record supporting critical batch release processes in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Batch Release Hub (BRH) solution design, implementation, production support, and sustainment activities.
• Translate business, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and regulatory requirements into scalable, compliant end-to-end SAP solutions.
• Serve as the SAP BRH Subject Matter Expert (SME) for functional design, production support, troubleshooting, enhancements, and continuous improvement.
• Support SAP BRH production environments, including:
  • Incident and ticket management
  • P1/P2 issue resolution
  • Root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Defect remediation
  • Integration troubleshooting
  • Release support
  • Hypercare and go-live support
  • Knowledge transition
• Design, support, and troubleshoot integrations between SAP BRH, SAP S/4HANA, LIMS, MES, laboratory systems, and third-party applications.
• Ensure data integrity and seamless execution of end-to-end batch release and disposition processes.
• Provide strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA QM, including:
  • Batch Management
  • Inspection Lots
  • Usage Decisions
  • Quality Notifications
  • Batch Release and Disposition
  • Release Decision Workflows
• Partner with Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, IT, Architecture, and Business stakeholders to:
  • Gather and analyze requirements
  • Facilitate workshops
  • Define future-state processes
  • Prioritize enhancements
  • Align solutions with business objectives
• Ensure solutions comply with Life Sciences regulatory and quality requirements, including GMP/GxP, FDA regulations, 21 CFR Part 11, electronic signatures, audit trails, validation documentation, and inspection-readiness standards.
• Identify solution and delivery risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support key program decisions across multiple workstreams.
• Mentor team members and provide technical and functional leadership.
• Support vendor/resource evaluations and contribute to solution and program strategy.
• Drive business-value-focused improvements to reduce batch release cycle times, improve compliance, and increase operational efficiency.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

1. SAP Batch Release Hub (BRH) Implementation & Support

• 5+ years of relevant SAP experience.
• Minimum 2 SAP BRH implementation and/or sustainment engagements.
• Hands-on experience supporting SAP BRH in production environments.
• Strong understanding of BRH solution design, batch release workflows, integrations, troubleshooting, and sustainment.

2. SAP S/4HANA Quality Management (QM)

• 8 10+ years of SAP QM experience.
• Strong expertise in:
  • SAP S/4HANA QM
  • Batch Management
  • Inspection Lots
  • Usage Decisions
  • Quality Notifications
  • Batch Release and Disposition Processes

3. Production Support & Sustainment Leadership

• 5+ years of production support/sustainment experience.
• Proven experience with:

  • Hypercare
  • Go-Live Support
  • Knowledge Transition

Nice-to-Have Skills

SAP BTP / Integration Suite

• 3+ years of experience with SAP BTP and/or Integration Suite.
• Experience with APIs, middleware, and integration support.

LIMS / MES Integrations

• 3+ years of experience supporting LIMS and/or MES integrations.
• Strong integration troubleshooting and production support experience.

Life Sciences / Digital Manufacturing

• Experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, MedTech, Medical Device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience working within SAP validation and compliance environments.
• Understanding of regulated digital manufacturing and batch release processes.

Regulatory & Compliance Experience

Strong Life Sciences industry experience is highly preferred. Candidates should understand:

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Master s degree preferred but not required.
• SAP certifications are desirable.

Industry Experience

Strongly Preferred: Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device, MedTech, or other regulated Life Sciences experience.

This experience is important because the role will support SAP BRH within a highly regulated environment and requires an understanding of GMP/GxP, FDA requirements, 21 CFR Part 11, validation, audit readiness, and pharmaceutical batch release processes.
