Mechanical Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
Provide advanced mechanical engineering support in the design, development, testing, and sustainment of complex DoD munition systems and associated technologies. Lead the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of intricate mechanical and electro-mechanical components, subsystems, and systems. Develop detailed design specifications, conduct or oversee in-depth analyses, and present recommendations for technical approval. Plan, organize, and lead major technical project phases, solve complex product or process issues, and ensure integration of all mechanical design elements for assigned efforts. Direct test planning and execution, evaluate results, and generate high-quality technical reports and recommendations.
You Have:

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering
• Experience with engineering software tools such as CREO, Pro/E, SolidWorks, MATLAB, or ANSYS
• Experience performing engineering analyses on systems and components
• Ability to independently develop, execute, and evaluate engineering test plans
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Nice If You Have:

• Experience in fabrication, machining, prototyping, or subsystem assembly
• Experience leading engineering teams or providing technical mentorship to junior engineers
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting detailed technical findings
• Secret clearance
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
