 Job Description:

As a Principal Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing the organization's local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN) to ensure maximum uptime and optimal performance. Key responsibilities include architecting system configurations, documenting network designs, overseeing the deployment of new infrastructure, and proactively maintaining and upgrading existing systems.

​​Role and Responsibilities​:

Network Architecture & Optimization: Architect, implement, and continuously improve advanced network solutions to drive maximum system efficiency and performance.

Infrastructure Automation & Security: Leverage Google Cloud tools, Terraform, and Ansible to automate the configuration of firewalls, routing, and switching, ensuring peak network security and operational efficiency.

​​Must Have Skills:

Senior Network Operations: 10+ years of experience in senior role managing and supporting large-scale enterprise networks, including MPLS, WAN, LAN, and Juniper backbone devices, aligned with strategic business objectives.

Network Infrastructure: Advanced proficiency in Juniper JUNOS, Citrix NetScaler, F5 load balancers, and Palo Alto Firewalls.

Cloud Engineering: 3+ years of experience in Google Cloud (Google Cloud Platform), AWS, or Azure supporting, optimizing, and maintaining network systems, including terminal servers, monitoring collectors, and CI/CD pipelines for automated patching.

Automation & Scripting: Strong coding and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) skills utilizing Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, and YAML.

Enterprise Network Architecture: Extensive hands-on expertise in the management and development of complex, large-scale enterprise networks, demonstrating a deep understanding of network logic, routing, and system dependencies.

Global Deployments: Proven experience building and scaling network platforms and capabilities within a global networking environment.

Client Onboarding & Customer Success: Strong customer-facing experience, with a proven track record of communicating technical requirements and seamlessly onboarding new customers, clients, or partners into complex enterprise network infrastructures.

Network Monitoring: Proficiency with enterprise monitoring platforms such as LogicMonitor, Statseeker, and SolarWinds.

On-Call Availability: Willingness and ability to work a rotating on-call shift.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

Workflow Automation: Solid hands-on experience in framework development with the ability to architect and achieve end-to-end automation of operational workflows.

Site Reliability: Strong foundational understanding of Network Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.

Certifications: Active Google Cloud (Google Cloud Platform) or Juniper networking certifications.
