The Role

We are currently seeking a staff software engineer to join the Alternatives Data Management (ADM) team. Our team is building AI-powered data products and workflow solutions that unlock transparency, efficiency, and insight in private market investments. You’ll join a talented full-stack team of engineers and work on distributed services that are used across the entire ADM engineering stack.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-month initiatives within ADM, including work that spans team boundaries. Anticipate risks and unblock dependencies before they become delivery blockers.
  • Lead technical designs for new products and workflow solutions, aligned with ADM and Addepar’s longer-term strategy. Solicit feedback and build consensus.
  • Write exemplary, highly performant, and scalable code and frameworks.
  • Evangelize and promote best engineering practices.
  • Serve as a primary technical point of contact. Initiate and lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve complex application and infrastructure issues.
  • Mentor engineers, identify skill gaps and help shape their technical development.
  • Communicate technical strategy, trade-offs, and architectural direction clearly to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Extensive software engineering experience
  • Track record of leading technical initiatives from design through delivery
  • Comfortable working independently, with a bias for action
  • Strong ownership mentality and drive to solve the most important problems
  • Excel at written and verbal communication
  • Experience with financial services or wealth management operations
  • Experience with object-oriented programming
  • Experience with AWS or another cloud platform
  • Experience with IaC (infrastructure as code), preferably Terraform
  • Experience with gen AI for coding
