Service Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our team and drive the success of our technical and field service operations. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work on complex electrical and mechanical systems within the marine industry, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities:
  • Perform technical service, installation, and troubleshooting of electrical, control, and mechanical systems in marine environments.
  • Read and interpret P&ID diagrams, general arrangements, and electrical drawings to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
  • Conduct maintenance and inspections to ensure system integrity and safety standards are met.
  • Support continued improvements in service processes, safety procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver seamless technical support and service solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, technical documentation, and inspection reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements:
  • College degree or equivalent related experience in technical or professional fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably with field service or technical roles within the marine industry.
  • Proficiency in LV electrical installations, PLC programming logic, and control systems troubleshooting.
  • Mechanical experience with piping systems and the ability to read and interpret P&ID, general arrangement, and electrical drawings.
  • Strong health and safety awareness.
  • Experience working with chemicals is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and spreadsheets.
  • Experience with ERP or similar database systems.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, independently, and with a professional attitude.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, with strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
