IT QA/QC Tester

Job Title:  Enterprise Automation/Orchestration Engineer
Location:  Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL

We are currently seeking an Enterprise Automation/Orchestration Engineer.  This is a long term contracting position located in either Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL.  Candidates will work a hybrid schedule (onsite 3 days a week), but possibly open to remote for the right candidate.  Candidates must be able to pass both a credit and criminal background check.  An onsite interview could be requested.  Open to W2 and established 1099 candidates. 
We are ideally looking for candidates with a minimum of 12 years of professional experience.  Candidates must have hands-on enterprise automation engineer/developer experience with experience connecting multiple technology platforms through orchestration, scripting, APIs, and web applications.  Candidates must be comfortable working across infrastructure and development teams and translating complex technical processes into reusable, automated workflows.
Candidates MUST HAVE direct Micro Focus Operations Orchestration experience, combined with scripting/web development and infrastructure knowledge. Candidates with only general DevOps or software development experience will not be considered.
Candidates will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting automation, web applications, workflow services, and distributed intake channels across the enterprise. The position focuses heavily on Micro Focus Operations Orchestration (OO), web services, PHP/.NET, scripting, and integration with server, storage, database, and network technologies.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain reusable enterprise automations and workflow services.
• Use Micro Focus Operations Orchestration to automate and orchestrate repeatable IT administration tasks.
• Partner with technology teams to identify, redesign, and automate manual processes.
• Develop and support web applications, APIs, web services, and invocation channels.
• Improve automation reliability, scalability, reusability, traceability, and reporting.
• Evaluate and implement emerging automation and orchestration technologies.
• Support highly available solutions across Windows, Linux/Unix, servers, storage, databases, and networks.
• Promote adoption of the orchestration platform across different technology teams.
• Create detailed technical documentation, process diagrams, and workflow documentation.
• Provide consulting and technical guidance to enterprise customers.

Job Description:
Implement, maintain and support distributed intake channels, web services and Enterprise orchestration platform. Provide consulting services to clients across the Enterprise with the ability to understand and assimilate complex cross-discipline and cross-technology concepts and processes. Design, build, test, and update reusable automations, web applications and workflow services using Micro Focus Operations Orchestration, PHP, .NET, web services and other programming languages. 
Responsibilities: 
•    Partner with the various technology teams to identify and reengineer processes as they onboard to the orchestration or migrate to web applications.
•    Drive industry standard on continuous process improvements 
•    Design and implement highly available automation using orchestration platforms (preferably Micro Focus Operations Orchestrations) dependent on server, storage, database and network technologies in accordance with NFCU standards.
•    Continue the advancement of the orchestration platform through evaluation, engineering, and adopting emerging technologies and practices in the industry.
•    Lead the efforts to automate and orchestrate repeatable administration tasks.  Make necessary improvements to increase reliability and reusability.
•    Establish defined invocation channels that enable the order and initiation of orchestrated services ensuring standardization, traceability and reporting.
•    Advocate the concepts and realization of web applications and the orchestration platform within the NFCU environment increasing the readiness and adoption across technologies stacks and teams.
•    Develop thorough technical documentation including diagrams
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
•    Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
•    Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, such as Javascript, HTML5 and CSS3
•    Knowledge of object oriented PHP programming
•    Experience in development and testing of web applications
•    Programming/scripting languages (Python, PHP, Java, PowerShell/PowerCLI, Perl, VBScript, Rexx, Windows batch scripting, web services and/or web APIs)
•    Experience working with Windows and Linux/Unix platforms
•    Experience with database administration (Oracle, DB2, and/or SQL Server)
•    Experience performing data analysis 
•    Experience that demonstrates skill in understanding and applying technical information to automation opportunities and present the process in terms that the customer understands
•    Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
