Permanent, Full-time Owen Daniels are supporting a leading manufacturer of passenger information systems in their search for a German-speaking Technical Engineer to join their growing technical team.
We're looking for a technically minded individual with strong communication skills who has a customer-focused approach; as the Technical Engineer, you will provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders, working across a variety of projects from initial consultation through to implementation and ongoing support.
The successful candidate will act as a key technical contact for customers in Germany, supporting the installation, integration, and ongoing performance of advanced hardware and software solutions used within the public transport sector.
Technical Engineer (German Speaking)<br />Job Description Providing technical support to customers via telephone, email, and site visits.<br />Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues.<br />Supporting the integration of onboard systems and associated software.<br />Assisting with system installations, upgrades, and retrofits at customer sites.<br />Working closely with customers, integrators, and internal engineering teams to deliver technical solutions.<br />Creating and maintaining customer databases, documentation, and technical records.<br />Delivering technical training to customers and colleagues.<br />Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.<br />Travelling regularly to Germany and occasionally internationally to support customers and projects.
Technical Engineer (German Speaking)<br />Qualifications & Experience Fluent German and English language skills.<br />Degree qualification (or equivalent experience) in Electronics, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.<br />Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C, C++, Lua, or .NET.<br />Experience configuring and troubleshooting Ethernet networks.<br />Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.<br />Excellent organisational and communication abilities.<br />A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.<br />Full driving licence and willingness to travel internationally.
