About the Role
Essnova is seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead federal programs and task orders while supporting continued account growth.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can oversee multiple projects while also stepping in to directly manage individual task orders when needed. The ideal candidate brings strong federal program management experience along with exposure to GWAC/IDIQ environments, proposals, business development, staffing, and customer engagement.
You don't need to be a developer, but you do need enough technical fluency to work effectively with developers and technical SMEs, understand delivery issues and risks, and translate that information into clear communication for government customers.
What You'll Do
- Lead federal programs and task orders across delivery, staffing, schedule, budget, risk, and customer requirements.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for government customers, including COs and CORs, and take ownership of issues through resolution.
- Work closely with developers and technical SMEs to understand delivery needs and clearly communicate technical issues, status, and risks to government stakeholders.
- Support federal growth activities including bid/no-bid decisions, proposals, task-order responses, staffing, and account expansion.
- Partner across recruiting, BD, proposals, finance, technical teams, and subcontractors to successfully move work from opportunity through execution.
- Help strengthen program-management processes and develop PMs and technical leads as Essnova's federal portfolio grows.
This role requires flexibility to respond to time-sensitive government/customer needs outside standard business hours when necessary.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Active PMP certification required.
- 8+ years of federal program/project management experience, including senior-level program leadership.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple federal projects, task orders, or workstreams.
- Hands-on experience managing federal task-order execution, including schedules, staffing, deliverables, risks, budgets, and customer communication.
- Experience supporting a major federal IDIQ/GWAC environment such as NASA SEWP, OASIS/OASIS+, GSA MAS, CIO-SP, Alliant, or similar.
- Experience working directly with Contracting Officers, CORs, and federal program stakeholders.
- Experience with federal proposals/task-order responses, including proposal development, compliance, staffing, and coordination with pricing.
- Experience supporting capture, bid/no-bid decisions, business development, account growth and proposal writing.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams and communicate complex technical information clearly to government customers.
- Strong ownership, judgment, communication, and customer relationship skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NASA SEWP or another high-volume GWAC; PMO leadership; federal IT modernization, cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or application-development programs; federal small-business environments; Shipley methodology; and/or an active or previously held federal security clearance.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $140,000–$160,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall alignment with the role.
