Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

A leading and highly respected engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. Operating on a global scale, this innovative business designs and manufactures sophisticated, bespoke equipment supplied to customers worldwide across a range of demanding to continued growth and investment, an opportunity has arisen for a talented engineer to play a key role in the development of new products and the enhancement of existing equipment. Your New Role As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of engineering projects from concept through to production, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and robust design solutions. Key responsibilities will include: Leading mechanical design activities for new and existing products Producing detailed 3D models, assemblies and engineering drawings Supporting product development, validation and continuous improvement initiatives Conducting design calculations and engineering analysis Collaborating with manufacturing, procurement and project teams to ensure efficient product delivery Managing technical aspects of projects and providing mentorship to junior engineers Ensuring designs meet relevant industry standards, customer requirements and quality expectations Supporting prototype development, testing and product implementation What You'll Need to Succeed To be considered for this position, you should demonstrate: Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Significant experience in a mechanical design engineering environment Strong 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, CATIA or similar Experience designing fabricated, mechanical, electro-mechanical or complex engineered products Strong problem-solving and project management abilities Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams would be advantageous What You'll Get in Return Attractive salary package Opportunity to work on highly innovative engineering projects Exposure to international customers and global markets Genuine opportunities for career progression and professional development Join a market-leading organisation with a strong reputation for engineering excellence Supportive, collaborative engineering culture What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
