Duration: 6-12+ Months Contract

Rate: $50-$55/hr on W2

Job Description

Position Overview

Our client is seeking Senior Structural Engineers to perform structural analysis and design for nuclear facilities and reactor-related projects. The work will focus heavily on seismic analysis, seismic qualification, seismic isolation, and the design of safety-related nuclear structures.

This is not a traditional civil/site engineering position. Candidates must have substantial hands-on structural engineering experience involving complex, highly regulated facilities.

Required Skills

Senior-level structural engineering analysis and design experience

Strong experience with seismic analysis, seismic qualification, or seismic isolation

Experience designing or analyzing reinforced concrete and structural steel systems

Working knowledge of relevant structural codes and standards, such as

ASCE standards

ACI standards

International Building Code

Applicable nuclear design codes, including ASME Section III

Ability to perform, review, and document engineering calculations

Interest in obtaining a Professional Engineer license if not already licensed

Highly Preferred

Direct nuclear power or nuclear facility experience

Nuclear design or design-construction experience

Experience with nuclear islands, reactor buildings, or safety-related structures

Active PE license

Experience from an SMR company, nuclear engineering organization, or major AEC/EPC firm
