Sr. Systems Engineer March Air Reserve Base, CA / Hybrid CBP required to start work Blu Omega is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support a federal program focused on border security and surveillance operations. This role operates within a hybrid environment and is responsible for supporting mission-critical systems related to border protection and national security. The position requires experience supporting systems engineering, network engineering, cybersecurity, and systems integration within a mission-driven environment. Program Overview Mission overview: Support efforts to detect, interdict, and prevent acts of terrorism, drug trafficking, and illegal border crossings through integrated surveillance and communication systems. The program involves working with C4I systems, ISR platforms, satellite communications, and sensor integrations, supporting international partners including Mexico and Canada. Key Details Location: 1355 Customs Way, March Air Reserve Base, CA 92518 / Hybrid Clearance: CBP required to start work Work Authorization: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required as a precondition of employment Responsibilities * Evaluate and analyze C4I communications capability, infrastructure, and interoperability * Assess installation and functionality of C4I sensors, radar, and data inputs * Review network cabling, infrastructure, and bandwidth to ensure compliance with standards and operational efficiency * Support system, network, and communication configurations, including wired and data flow diagrams Required Qualifications * 10+ years of experience in systems, network, or cybersecurity engineering supporting mission-critical environments * \Experience evaluating C4I communications and sensor systems * Knowledge of network infrastructure, bandwidth analysis, and system verification Preferred Qualifications * Experience with satellite communications, enterprise architecture, and complex sensor integrations * Familiarity with cybersecurity standards such as STIG hardening, NIST RMF, and secure system design * Prior work supporting DHS or federal border security operations Compensation Salary Range: $138,000 - $151,000 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
