Job Description

A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, is a healthcare professional who operates specialized ultrasound equipment to produce images of internal organs and tissues by using high-frequency sound waves, allowing physicians to diagnose medical conditions through non-invasive imaging procedures; their key responsibilities include patient preparation, performing ultrasound examinations, analyzing image quality, identifying abnormalities, documenting findings, and communicating results to physicians.

Registered Sonographer- Ultrasound (evening/night)- weekends

Within a setting renowned for clinical excellence, you will perform diagnostic ultrasounds for the imaging of normal and abnormal structures of the human body and provide quality care to patients of all ages.

• Assess patients appropriately for the procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.
• Operate highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).
• Take part in the training of students and staff as assigned.
• Create a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

Education: High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.

Experience: Experience preferred but not required.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration: ARRT registry/ARDMS in one of the following areas, OB/Gyn, Abd or Neurosonography. CPR certification required.

Other: Good interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.
