Lead NDT Inspector | Bremerton, WA | Hybrid | $90,000.00-$110,000.00 Annually

The Role

Provide supervisory oversight and technical guidance to junior NDT inspectors.
Perform VT, UT, MT, and PT inspections on surface ship and submarine structures and piping.
Conduct advanced training for NDT inspectors and manage inspection plans.
Act as a subject matter expert on NDT for various projects and resolve quality issues.
Review technical work instructions and NDT inspectors' objective quality evidence before submission.
Perform periodic surveillances on trade workers and NDT inspectors to identify and mitigate non-conformance trends.

What You'll Need

Qualified NDT Level II inspector in accordance with NAVSEA requirements.
5+ years of NAVSEA NDT certification in Visual Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Ultrasonic Thickness Testing, and Ultrasonic Shearwave Testing.
Knowledge of welding joint design and joint fit-up requirements.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including written, oral, diagram, and schedule formats.
High school graduate or GED.
Experience with SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding is highly preferred.
