Job Description

Lead NDT Inspector | Bremerton, WA | Hybrid | $90,000.00-$110,000.00 Annually Hiring on behalf of a respected national marine contractor, this organization is a leader in its field, known for its mobile workforce that consistently delivers high-quality results across all U.S. ports. The Role • Provide supervisory oversight and technical guidance to junior NDT inspectors. • Perform VT, UT, MT, and PT inspections on surface ship and submarine structures and piping. • Conduct advanced training for NDT inspectors and manage inspection plans. • Act as a subject matter expert on NDT for various projects and resolve quality issues. • Review technical work instructions and NDT inspectors' objective quality evidence before submission. • Perform periodic surveillances on trade workers and NDT inspectors to identify and mitigate non-conformance trends. What You'll Need • Qualified NDT Level II inspector in accordance with NAVSEA requirements. • 5+ years of NAVSEA NDT certification in Visual Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Ultrasonic Thickness Testing, and Ultrasonic Shearwave Testing. • Knowledge of welding joint design and joint fit-up requirements. • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including written, oral, diagram, and schedule formats. • High school graduate or GED. • Experience with SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding is highly preferred.
