This is an opportunity to take real ownership of complex projects from inception through to completion, working on occupied high-rise residential buildings and delivering improvements that directly contribute to the safety, quality and long-term performance of our homes.

You will lead multidisciplinary project teams and work closely with contractors, architects, engineers, surveyors and specialist consultants. You will be responsible for driving projects forward, managing programmes and budgets, identifying and controlling risk, monitoring contractor performance and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality.

A key part of the role will be working within the requirements of the Building Safety Act and Building Safety Regulator processes, ensuring projects are appropriately planned, coordinated and managed through the required stages.

We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex delivery challenges and making informed decisions. You will have the opportunity to manage significant high-rise projects and play an important role in the continued investment and improvement of Nottingham's council housing.

This is a meaningful opportunity to deliver real impact for communities across the city.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Proven experience successfully delivering high-rise residential refurbishment and major capital projects from inception through to completion, including working within occupied residential environments.
  2. Strong practical knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Building Safety Regulator requirements with experience of delivering projects within the regulatory environment for higher-risk residential buildings.
  3. A strong track record of taking ownership of complex projects, including programme, budget, risk, quality and change management, while driving delivery and resolving issues effectively
  4. Experience leading and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, including contractors, architects, engineers, surveyors and specialist consultants, to achieve successful project outcomes.
  5. Strong commercial and contract management experience with the ability to manage contractor performance, costs and value for money and experience of NEC and/or JCT contracts would be adventitious
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work effectively with residents, contractors, consultants, senior leaders and other key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
