We are seeking an experienced Ribbon Communications Session Border Controller (SBC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) with 10+ years of experience architecting, deploying, configuring, securing, and troubleshooting enterprise Unified Communications (UC) and IP telephony environments.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise with Ribbon (formerly Sonus) SBCs and extensive experience integrating enterprise voice platforms including Microsoft Teams, Teams Direct Routing, Skype for Business, Cisco CUCM, Avaya, and Mitel.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, deploy, configure, and support Ribbon (Sonus) SBC solutions.
• Implement and support Microsoft Teams Direct Routing and enterprise voice solutions.
• Integrate Ribbon SBCs with Microsoft Teams, Skype for Business, Cisco CUCM, Avaya, Mitel, and other IP telephony platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot SIP Trunking, VoIP, RTP/SRTP, TLS, DNS, NAT, QoS, and enterprise voice routing.
• Lead SBC upgrades, migrations, system optimization, and interoperability testing.
• Design secure, highly available SBC solutions and provide Level III/IV technical support.
• Develop technical documentation and collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Enterprise Voice, VoIP, Unified Communications, and IP Telephony.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ribbon Communications (formerly Sonus) Session Border Controllers.
• Expertise in Microsoft Teams Direct Routing, SIP, SIP Trunking, and enterprise voice architecture.
• Experience integrating Ribbon SBCs with Cisco CUCM, Skype for Business, Avaya, and Mitel.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ribbon SBC Edge/Core, AudioCodes, or Oracle SBC.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, enterprise networking, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
• Relevant Microsoft, Ribbon, or Cisco Collaboration certifications are a plus.
