Senior OT Systems Onboarding & Migration Lead

Role overview

We’re looking for an experienced OT professional to lead the assessment, onboarding, and migration planning of operational technology systems into the environment. You’ll work with site teams, engineering groups, vendors, and infrastructure specialists to develop practical plans for both new and legacy OT systems, while protecting operational continuity and supporting secure, standardized environments.

What you’ll do

• Lead OT system assessments and develop onboarding and migration plans for greenfield and brownfield environments.
• Work with system owners, automation engineers, laboratory managers, manufacturing stakeholders, and vendors to understand system architectures, dependencies, constraints, and readiness.
• Advise sites on migration prerequisites, risks, validation impacts, operational readiness, and execution planning.
• Facilitate workshops to agree onboarding approaches, migration strategies, and target-state architectures.
• Explain requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders, serving as their primary technical contact throughout onboarding.
• Coordinate with service lines and delivery teams on infrastructure and service needs, including secure networks, segmentation, Active Directory, endpoint protection, remote access, servers, virtualization, storage, and file shares.
• Help resolve technical blockers, service requests, and infrastructure dependencies that affect onboarding schedules.
• Support modernization initiatives such as Windows and domain upgrades, hardware refreshes, virtualization, and network redesign.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cyber risk and technical debt while minimizing disruption to manufacturing, laboratory, and other operational environments.

What you’ll bring

• 8+ years of experience in Operational Technology, Industrial Automation, Manufacturing IT/OT, Process Control, Laboratory Systems, or OT Cybersecurity.
• Experience supporting brownfield OT migrations, infrastructure upgrades, or industrial modernization programmes.
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems, manufacturing or laboratory platforms, and supporting OT infrastructure.
• Experience working with automation vendors, OEMs, system integrators, and engineering teams.
• Familiarity with industrial networking, Active Directory, virtualization, Windows platforms, firewall-based LAN segmentation, and cybersecurity technologies.
• Strong technical problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage complex technical activities across multiple teams and service providers.

Preferred experience

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with SCADA, DCS, PLC, MES, laboratory systems, historian platforms, or manufacturing execution environments.
• Experience with OT network segmentation, secure architecture programmes, or integrating legacy and vendor-managed systems into standardized enterprise infrastructure.
• Understanding of GMP qualification and validation processes.
• Experience contributing to large-scale global infrastructure or cybersecurity transformation programmes.
