Job Description

Role : Operations Manager – Hardware Accessories Ecosystem

Location: Mountain View, CA (Onsite)

 

This role is a balanced hybrid of partner operations & contract program management and technical hardware lifecycle execution. Approximately 50% of the role is dedicated to managing the technical certification, stage-gates, and testing validation for Cellphone Screen Protection and related hardware accessories. The remaining 50% encompasses end-to-end general partner project management, including executing partner legal agreements (such as Exhibit A, Exhibit B),, preparing executive presentation materials and program status readouts, tracking partner readiness deliverables, coordinating sample/NCU logistics, and maintaining operational data hygiene.

Partner Operations & Contract Management

Executing Exhibit A/Exhibit B agreements, managing NDAs, enforcing security gates, managing CAD distribution, and overseeing partner communications.

Executive Reporting & Storytelling

Building VP/Director-ready presentation decks, visual milestone scorecards, risk registers, and leadership briefings.

Screen Protection & Technical Certification

Driving Gate 3 testing milestones, validating biometric/display compatibility, managing ball-drop/scratch reliability, and triaging partner defect logs.

Hardware Program Management & NPI

Managing annual refresh schedules, coordinating net-new category launches, tracking critical paths, and mitigating schedule risks.

Logistics, Dogfooding & Operations

Managing NCU sample demand forecasting, running internal dogfooding user trials, tracking POs/incentives, and maintaining master trackers.

Market Research & Portfolio Strategy

Conducting competitive gap analysis, identifying regional market opportunities, and evaluating prospective OEM/ODM partners.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in Partner Operations, Technical Program Management (TPM), Hardware Project Management, or Consumer Electronics Lifecycle Management.
  • Operational Execution: Proven experience managing multi-step operational workflows, execution processes (e.g., SOWs, Exhibits, NDAs), and enforcing security/compliance gates.
  • Executive Communication & Storytelling: Proven ability to create polished, executive-ready presentation decks (Google Slides / PowerPoint) that synthesize complex technical data, schedules, and partner statuses for leadership reviews.
  • Hardware Lifecycle & Stage-Gates: Demonstrated experience tracking hardware development lifecycles (NPI, stage-gate processes such as EVT/DVT/PVT/Gate 3 certification) and coordinating sample testing logistics.
  • Partner-Facing Leadership: Track record managing external tier-1 brands, ODMs, or suppliers, including facilitating operational syncs, tracking deliverables, and resolving cross-functional blockers.
  • Tooling & Data Hygiene: Proficiency with workflow and spreadsheet tools (Smartsheet, Google Sheets/Docs/Slides) to maintain trackers, logs, and executive reports.
