Panel Builder
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Panel Builder to join our control panel fabrication team. This position is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing industrial electrical control panels in accordance with electrical drawings, schematics, customer specifications, and UL508A standards.
The ideal candidate has experience with electrical or control panel assembly, understands basic electrical schematics, and takes pride in producing organized, high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
· Assemble industrial electrical control panels, enclosures, and subassemblies.
· Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and bills of material.
· Install DIN rail, wire duct, terminal blocks, relays, circuit protection devices, power supplies, PLC components, and other control equipment.
· Perform point-to-point wiring according to electrical schematics and drawings.
· Cut, strip, label, terminate, and route control wiring.
· Drill, tap, cut, and modify electrical enclosures as required.
· Ensure components and wiring are properly labeled and organized.
· Perform quality checks and verify completed panels against drawings and specifications.
· Assist with electrical testing and troubleshooting of completed panels.
· Maintain an organized and safe work area.
· Follow company safety procedures and established panel shop standards.
· Work with engineering and shop leadership to identify and resolve drawing, material, or assembly issues.
· Support continuous improvement efforts related to panel fabrication, quality, and efficiency.
· Previous electrical assembly, control panel, manufacturing, or related experience preferred.
· Experience building UL508A industrial control panels preferred.
· Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
· Familiarity with basic electrical components and control systems.
· Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, drills, crimpers, and electrical testing equipment.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
