Production Support Engineering Manager (Financial Systems)

Swoon is actively hiring a Financial Systems Production Support Manager to join the team!

What your day-to-day will look like

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of production support analysts responsible for critical financial applications.
• Oversee the daily stability, availability, performance, and support of Hyperion, Prologue, Sage, and related finance systems.
• Manage major incidents by coordinating technical teams, prioritizing recovery efforts, minimizing downtime, and communicating updates to business leaders.
• Direct incident, problem, and change management activities, including root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and prevention of recurring issues.
• Ensure financial applications perform reliably during critical month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close and reporting periods.
• Partner with Finance, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and external vendors to resolve issues and meet governance and regulatory requirements.
• Improve application support through proactive monitoring, automation, operational metrics, documented procedures, and continuous process improvements.

What's Required / Technical Skills

• 8-12 years of experience in production or application support, including responsibility for business-critical financial systems.
• Previous experience working within a bank, with knowledge of banking operations, financial processes, regulatory requirements, and risk controls.
• Hands-on experience supporting Oracle Hyperion or Oracle EPM in a production environment; experience with Prologue, Sage, or similar finance platforms is preferred.
• Proven people-leadership experience, including managing production support professionals, assigning work, setting priorities, and developing team members.
• Strong knowledge of incident, problem, change, and major incident management, including root-cause analysis and corrective-action tracking.
• Experience supporting financial close, accounting, reporting, or regulatory processes, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues, business impact, risk, and resolution status to Finance, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Audit, and senior leadership.
