Business Process Engineer

Location: Newport Beach, CA

Onsite: 4 Days per week

Rate: $90-95 an hour

We are seeking an experienced Business Process Engineer to analyze, document, and improve business processes across operational teams. This role will lead process mapping initiatives, facilitate stakeholder workshops, and help establish process documentation standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process discovery sessions with business stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Document and map current-state and future-state business processes.
• Create process flows, BPMN diagrams, swimlane maps, and workflow documentation.
• Identify process gaps, bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Standardize process documentation methods, templates, and best practices.
• Train and mentor team members on process mapping and process improvement methodologies.
• Support knowledge transfer and continuous process improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of business process mapping, process engineering, or related experience.
• Insurance or financial services industry experience required.
• Proven experience facilitating workshops and documenting complex operational processes.
• Strong expertise in BPMN, workflow mapping, swimlane diagrams, and process documentation.
• Experience translating procedures, job aids, and business requirements into process flows.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to understand and document cross-functional business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience documenting processes across multiple teams, systems, and third-party partners.
• Experience training, coaching, or mentoring teams on business process methodologies.
• Lean, Six Sigma, Business Process Management (BPM), or related certifications.
