Job Description

"DevOps Engineer – USA Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our technology organization in the United States. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, containerization, monitoring, and automation. The DevOps Engineer will work closely with software developers, cloud architects, security teams, data engineers, and IT operations to build reliable, scalable, secure, and automated technology platforms. The successful candidate will help establish DevOps best practices and enable rapid, consistent, and secure software delivery across the organization.
Work Location: United States Remote

Key Responsibilities

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps & CI/CD
  • 8+ years of experience in Design, implement, and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines.
  • 8+ years of experience in Automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes. Develop standardized deployment frameworks and reusable pipeline templates.
  • 8+ years of experience in Implement automated testing and quality gates within CI/CD workflows.
  • 8+ years of experience in Manage application releases across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
  • 8+ years of experience in Troubleshoot deployment failures and improve pipeline reliability.
  • 8+ years of experience in Implement DevSecOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • 8+ years of experience in Support continuous integration and continuous delivery across multiple development teams.

Cloud Infrastructure

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure.
  • 8+ years of experience in Work with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other major cloud platforms.
  • Implement cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Manage compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and other cloud services.
  • Implement cloud scalability, availability, performance, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Monitor cloud resource utilization and identify opportunities for performance and cost optimization.
  • Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

Infrastructure as Code

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using:
    • Terraform
    • Azure Bicep or ARM Templates
    • CloudFormation, where applicable
  • Create reusable infrastructure modules and deployment templates.
  • Implement automated provisioning and configuration management.
  • Manage infrastructure changes through version control and automated deployment processes.
  • Establish standards for infrastructure automation across environments.

Containers & Kubernetes

  • Develop and manage containerized applications using Docker.
  • Deploy and manage workloads using Kubernetes.
  • Work with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Amazon EKS, or similar platforms.
  • Configure container orchestration, networking, storage, and security.
  • Implement Helm charts and Kubernetes deployment strategies.
  • Troubleshoot container and Kubernetes-related issues.
  • Support scalable and highly available container platforms.

Azure DevOps & Source Control

  • Manage and optimize Azure DevOps environments.
  • Develop Azure DevOps Pipelines and reusable pipeline templates.
  • Manage Git repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, and code promotion.
  • Implement automated build and release processes.
  • Support source-control governance and development standards.
  • Integrate Azure DevOps with testing, security, monitoring, and deployment tools.

Monitoring & Reliability

  • Implement enterprise monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
  • Monitor application, infrastructure, network, and cloud performance.
  • Work with tools such as:
    • Azure Monitor
    • Application Insights
    • Log Analytics
    • Prometheus
    • Grafana
    • Splunk
    • Datadog
  • Develop dashboards and alerts for system health and performance.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Support Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and continuous improvement.

Security & DevSecOps

  • Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implement secure infrastructure and deployment practices.
  • 8+ years of experience in Manage secrets, certificates, keys, and credentials using secure technologies such as Azure Key Vault or equivalent solutions.
  • Implement identity and access management best practices.
  • Integrate vulnerability scanning, code scanning, container scanning, and security testing into development workflows.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities and compliance requirements.

Automation

  • 8+ years of experience in Develop automation scripts and tools to reduce manual operational activities.
  • Use PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
  • Identify repetitive processes and develop automated solutions.
  • Build reusable automation frameworks for engineering teams.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with developers, architects, security engineers, data engineers, and IT operations.
  • Support development teams in implementing DevOps best practices.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, technical design sessions, and retrospectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support.
  • Document infrastructure

Compensation

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting hourly range for this remote role is ($75.00-$85.00/Hour). This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on several factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
