The Role • Serve as a technical lead on automation projects, overseeing design, development, testing, and commissioning of industrial process automation systems. • Collaborate with sales teams to support automation upgrade initiatives and contribute to pre-sales technical support, cost estimation, and proposal development. • Develop detailed functional descriptions and design automation software across various industrial control platforms. • Coordinate with electrical designers and ensure compliance with automation standards and customer specifications. • Commission instrumentation, electrical, and control systems at customer sites, including performing I/O checkout and providing on-site troubleshooting support. • Manage project documentation, track team tasks, and generate project schedules to ensure timely and high-quality project execution. What You'll Need • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. • Typically 5+ years of experience in a similar automation engineering role. • Proven ability to work effectively independently and within cross-functional teams, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal and customer service abilities. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and previous experience with Rockwell Automation hardware and software is preferred. • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required for project and site activities.
