Senior Automation Engineer Contract Liverpool (Hybrid) Bright Purple is working with a client in Liverpool to find two Senior Automation Engineers for a contract starting this month. Duration: 3 months initially, with a view to extend by a further 6 months The role You'll design, build and maintain test automation frameworks with Playwright and TypeScript. - Designing, building and improving automated test suites using Playwright and TypeScript
- Building robust, scalable and maintainable automation frameworks
- Working with developers, BAs and product owners to make sure quality is built in from the start
- Fitting automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Sharing progress, risks and recommendations clearly with client stakeholders
- Mentoring and supporting other team members on automation best practice
- Proven experience as a Senior Automation Engineer or in a similar role
- Strong hands-on skills in Playwright and TypeScript
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with clients
- A collaborative, proactive approach and a good fit with the client's people-focused culture
- Insurance sector experience would be a real advantage, but isn't essential
- An immediate start on a well-paid contract
- A good chance of extending to 9 months in total
- A hybrid setup, with Mondays and Fridays at home
- Real influence over the client's automation approach
