Job Description

Tahoe Family Hearing Clinic, PC, a privately-owned Audiology practice in South Lake Tahoe, CA, is seeking a part-time Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. We have been helping patients in our community since September 2022 and we are passionate about providing both the best patient experience and industry leading hearing healthcare technology the market has to offer.

We seek a patient-focused customer service administrative office professional who is passionate about helping people and interested in developing a career in the field of Audiology.

The following DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES are central to the role:

Manage patient scheduling including discussing patient requirements, confirming patient details, and scheduling appointments in alignment with provider requirements

Foster patient satisfaction and improve clinic productivity

Insurance verifications & prior authorizations

Maintain and foster strategic vendor relationships including invoicing department

Maintain patient records & manage patient charts

Inventory management in electronic medical records system

Extensive customer service utilizing email, phone calls, text messages, and in-person interactions

Process hearing aid orders, cleanings, and repairs

• Assist audiology team with other audiology aid functions

HIPAA compliance and ethics

Assist operations with office management

Community outreach and office marketing

• Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment by completing routine office upkeep and cleaning responsibilities

To ensure success, candidates should also possess the following EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Minimum 1 year sales or customer services experience

• Proficiency in insurance verifications, authorizations, and other required patient benefit determination

Demonstrated experience building strong positive relationships with patients, strategic vendors, and community members

An ability to communicate verbally and in writing with utmost clarity

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products

Proficiency with Google Suite of products

High School Diploma

Business school or Associate degree preferred

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
