Creo Designer (Automotive)

We are seeking a skilled Creo Designer with strong automotive product design experience to support the development of mechanical components from concept through production. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in Creo Part Modeling, Assembly Design, and Surfacing, along with experience designing plastic, sheet metal, and casting components in an automotive environment.

Responsibilities Include:

·         Create 3D models, assemblies, and detailed engineering drawings using Creo.

·         Develop concept designs and production-ready designs for automotive components.

·         Perform surfacing, part modeling, assembly modeling, and design validation activities.

·         Apply GD&T principles and manufacturing standards to engineering designs.

·         Design and develop plastic, sheet metal, and casting components based on project requirements.

·         Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development cycle.

·         Support design reviews, prototype evaluations, and engineering change activities.

·         Prepare engineering documentation, drawings, BOMs, and release packages.

·         Participate in product development activities from concept, prototyping, testing, validation, and production launch.

·         Support ECN, PPAP, DFMEA, DVP&R, and design release activities as required.

·         Work independently on design conceptualization and problem-solving assignments.

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.

·         4-8 years of mechanical design experience, preferably within the automotive industry.

·         Strong hands-on experience with Creo (Part, Assembly, and Surfacing modules).

·         Proven experience designing automotive components and assemblies.

·         Solid understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards.

·         Experience designing plastic, sheet metal, and casting components.

·         Strong knowledge of product development processes and engineering design methodologies.

·         Experience collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams.

·         Ability to independently manage design tasks and meet project deadlines.

Important Details:

·         Employment Type: Contract

·         Work Location: Wauwatosa, WI

·         Target Bill Rate: $40/hr – $45/hr

·         Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
