Backed by a growth-oriented strategy and an acquisition-driven business model, the company combines the agility of local operations with the strength and resources of a larger enterprise. This is an exciting opportunity to join a finance organization that plays a critical role in supporting expansion, operational excellence, and long-term value creation.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Revenue Review Accountant to support revenue accounting, analysis, and financial reporting across a growing portfolio of operating companies. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys investigating financial data, identifying inconsistencies, and ensuring revenue is accurately recorded and reported.

The Revenue Review Accountant will work closely with Corporate Accounting, Operations, Sales, and Finance teams to review revenue activity across multiple business lines, reconcile complex transactions, support month-end close activities, and help establish scalable processes in a dynamic, acquisition-focused environment. This position offers significant exposure to revenue accounting, process improvement, and multi-entity financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze revenue transactions across multiple operating companies to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper accounting treatment.
  • Perform detailed reconciliations between operational systems, billing records, subledgers, and general ledger accounts.
  • Investigate revenue discrepancies, unusual transactions, credits, rebates, adjustments, and variances, coordinating with stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Partner with Operations, Project Management, and Finance teams to ensure projects are properly billed, revenue is recorded in the appropriate period, and billing activity is accurately reflected in accounting and reporting systems.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including revenue-related journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Analyze revenue streams across equipment sales, service operations, rentals, aftermarket support, and other business lines.
  • Assist with the integration of newly acquired businesses by supporting revenue accounting processes, reporting consistency, and financial controls.
  • Review customer contracts and transaction terms to ensure appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Maintain revenue review schedules, supporting documentation, reconciliations, and analytical reporting packages.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by providing schedules, documentation, and analysis related to revenue and accounts receivable.
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue review processes, strengthen controls, enhance reporting accuracy, and increase automation across the organization.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in revenue accounting, financial reporting, account reconciliations, or financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of revenue recognition principles, including ASC 606.
  • Experience performing account reconciliations, variance analysis, and investigating accounting discrepancies.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and large dataset analysis.
  • Experience working with ERP or enterprise accounting systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify trends, anomalies, and inconsistencies across large volumes of financial data.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across accounting, finance, operations, and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a multi-entity or decentralized organization.
  • Experience supporting acquisitions, accounting integrations, or business consolidations.
  • Background in manufacturing, HVAC, distribution, construction, field services, equipment sales, or other project- or service-based industries.
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, Oracle, SAP, or similar systems.
  • Exposure to business intelligence, reporting, or data analytics tools.
  • Experience in high-volume revenue environments with multiple revenue streams and reporting structures.
