BC Finance Systems Consultant| £550 per day outside IR35 | Hybrid

We're supporting an end-user organisation in the final stages of a Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation and are looking for an experienced Business Central Finance Consultant to help drive testing, user adoption and go-live readiness.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong Business Central knowledge with a solid understanding of finance processes and enjoys working directly with business stakeholders to ensure ERP projects deliver successfully.

The Role
You'll work closely with the Finance team and wider business users, helping ensure the Business Central solution is fit for purpose ahead of go-live.

A significant amount of testing preparation has already been completed, but the business requires additional support reviewing and refining test scripts, coordinating UAT activities and acting as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and the implementation partner.

The successful candidate will be hands-on, delivery-focused and comfortable operating on the customer side of an ERP programme.
Responsibilities

• Review and improve existing UAT test scripts and scenarios
• Ensure testing reflects Business Central processes and business requirements
• Support and coordinate User Acceptance Testing activities
• Work closely with Finance users throughout testing and validation
• Validate dimensions, VAT processing and core finance workflows
• Identify gaps, risks and defects within the testing process
• Collaborate with the implementation partner whilst representing business interests
• Support business readiness and go-live preparation
• Help drive user confidence and adoption across the organisation

Experience Required

• Strong Dynamics 365 Business Central experience
• Good understanding of Finance processes within Business Central
• Experience supporting ERP implementations from the customer side
• UAT and testing experience
• Knowledge of dimensions, VAT and financial controls
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
• Comfortable working directly with business users and senior stakeholders

The Person We're looking for somebody who can quickly understand the business, build credibility with the Finance team and add value from day one.

This is not a role for somebody who sits on the sidelines. You'll be expected to review, challenge, improve and help drive the project through a critical phase of delivery.

A practical and hands-on approach is essential.
