As our business continues to grow, we are looking for experienced project leaders who can take ownership of delivery, build strong client relationships and provide clear leadership to project teams.

  • Monitor project costs, forecasts, change control and cash flow, ensuring commercial objectives are achieved.
  • Undertake Client responsibilities under NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including contract administration, change management and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance are maintained across project teams and supply chain partners.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, network owners and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver clear project reporting covering progress, programme, cost, risk and performance.
  • Support project close-out activities, handover and lessons learned.

Essential Experience & Capabilities

  • Minimum seven years' experience working within the UK energy sector.
  • Proven experience delivering transmission and/or distribution projects in a Senior Project Manager or equivalent leadership role.
  • Demonstrable experience across high-voltage cable, overhead line and/or substation projects.
  • Strong background managing contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
  • Experience managing project budgets, programmes, risks and commercial performance.
  • Good working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.
  • Understanding of UK construction legislation, CDM requirements and industry safety standards.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience using project planning and controls tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience delivering projects up to 400kV within operational network environments.
  • Degree-qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a relevant discipline.
  • APM PMQ, PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification.
  • Chartered status or membership of a relevant professional institution.
  • SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
