Job Description

Role: Senior Couchbase DevOps & SRE Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA / Austin, TX – Onsite
Duration: 6+ Months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, manage, and scale highly available Couchbase clusters.
  • Handle rebalancing, failover, upgrades, patching, capacity, memory, and storage optimization.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines and IaC using Terraform/CloudFormation.
  • Automate deployments, patching, backups, restores, and DR processes.
  • Implement SRE practices including SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, and reliability automation.
  • Monitor Couchbase using Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog; lead incident response and RCA.
  • Manage RBAC, TLS/SSL, audit logging, and encryption.
  • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and security standards.
