The OpportunityWe're hiring a Senior Real Estate Portfolio Accountant to take full ownership of the numbers behind a defined slate of properties — not as a back-office function, but a critical member of the team. You'll run the complete accounting cycle for your portfolio end to end, translate the details into insights leadership can act on, and become the go-to financial voice for Asset Management, Property Management, Treasury, and Tax..

What You'll DoFinancial Close & Reporting Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close across multiple entities and propertiesPrepare financial statements and variance analyses for leadership and investorsOwn bank reconciliations, AP/AR oversight, and balance sheet integrity Cash & Treasury Management Manage weekly cash tracking, forecasting, and funding for your portfolioExecute wires, transfers, and ACH transactions with proper governanceMonitor debt covenants and support loan management Portfolio Analysis & Strategic Insight Partner with Real Estate and Property Management on budgeting and forecastingPerform budget-to-actual variance analysis and communicate key drivers to stakeholdersReview external property management reports for accuracy and improvement opportunities Development & Construction Audit development projects and validate construction spendingManage lien waivers and project reconciliations Compliance & Process Leadership Ensure GAAP compliance and strong internal controlsDrive process and system improvementsLead the 1099 process and vendor management What We're Looking ForRequired Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field5+ years of progressive accounting experience in corporate, real estate, or fund/investment environmentsDeep knowledge of US GAAP, partnership accounting, lease accounting, and CAM reconciliationsProficiency with Business Central or a comparable real estate accounting system Compensation & Benefitsperformance-based incentive opportunities (based on personal and department objectives).
