Remote.TRANSPORTATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH IMPLEMENTATION AND MERCURY GATE EXP!
Seeking a highly experienced TMS Implementation Design Lead to lead and execute the release lifecycle for a fast-paced 3PL warehouse environment. This role is responsible for coordinating frequent system changes—including configurations, enhancements, and defect fixes—while ensuring operational stability across distribution centers.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, understands MercuryGate/Infios’ continuous update model, and can balance rapid delivery with the realities of warehouse operations (labor, throughput, customer SLAs).
Key Responsibilities
Release Planning (MercuryGate/Infios Focus)
- Own and manage the MercuryGate/Infios release cadence, including continuous updates, configuration migrations, and hotfixes
- Coordinate release windows aligned with 3PL operational constraints (cutoffs, peak seasons, client SLAs)
- Maintain a structured release calendar covering multiple sites and clients
Configuration & Deployment Management
- Manage promotion of MercuryGate/Infios configurations across environments (e.g., tenant-based lifecycle: DEV / TEST / STAGE / PROD)
- Ensure strict governance of:
- Configuration packages
- Extension deployments (if applicable)
- Integration touchpoints
- Validate environment readiness and data integrity prior to releases
Testing & Validation Oversight
- Coordinate functional testing and UAT with operations, super users, and IT teams
- Ensure test scenarios cover:
- Inbound/outbound flows
- Inventory accuracy
- Automation/system integrations (e.g., MHE, parcel, ERP)
- Validate production readiness using documented go-live criteria
Stakeholder & Client Communication
- Act as the central point of contact for:
- IT teams
- Warehouse operations leadership
- 3PL client representatives (where applicable)
- Communicate release scope, risks, impacts, and readiness clearly and concisely
- Lead go/no-go decision meetings for production releases
Operational Risk & Incident Management
- Identify risks specific to 3PL environments (e.g., multi-client configs, peak volume impacts)
- Coordinate mitigation strategies and contingency planning
- Lead HyperCare support post-release and manage incident triage
- Execute rollback strategies when needed with minimal operational disruption
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Establish and refine release management standards for MercuryGate/Infios
- Improve repeatability of deployments across sites and clients
- Identify opportunities for:
- Automation in release and testing processes
- Better alignment between product/config teams and operations
- Drive lessons learned from retrospectives into process improvements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Release Management, Deployment Management, or IT Delivery
- Hands-on experience with MercuryGate/Infios TMS (cloud-native platform required)
- Proven experience managing frequent, iterative releases in production environments
- Strong understanding of:
- TMS configuration management and promotion processes
- Multi-environment lifecycle (tenant-based environments)
- Integration dependencies (ERP, TMS, automation/MHE, parcel systems)
- Experience supporting live warehouse operations, preferably in a 3PL setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in 3PL / contract logistics environments (multi-client, multi-site operations)
- Exposure to automation systems (conveyors, sorters, AMRs, etc.) integrated with TMS
- Familiarity with:
- MercuryGate/Infios extensibility framework
- API-driven integrations
- Experience working in Agile or product-driven delivery models
- ITIL or structured change/release governance background
