The Role

• Operate heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to safely and efficiently move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate placement and handling.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Conduct pre and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks and container moves.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is required for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
