Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Telecom Expense Management (TEM) / Financial Data Analyst to support the analysis, auditing, and optimization of a large telecommunications expense environment. This role will focus on analyzing wireless and wireline carrier invoices, telecom assets, usage data, and financial records to identify billing errors, overcharges, unused services, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Telecom Expense Management (TEM) experience combined with advanced Excel, financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, and Power BI skills.
Key Responsibilities

Analyze large-scale wireless and wireline telecom billing, usage, asset, and expense datasets.
Audit monthly carrier invoices and identify billing errors, discrepancies, and overcharges.
Analyze unused or underutilized mobile devices and telecom services.
Reconcile internal asset records against wireless and wireline carrier records.
Identify and quantify telecom cost-saving opportunities.
Analyze approximately 30,000 mobile devices across multiple wireless carriers.
Analyze carrier reports, usage trends, and telecom spending patterns.
Analyze vendor expenses against contracts and available funding.
Track planned versus actual expenditures.
Prepare budget forecasts and investigate budget variances.
Develop executive-level reports, dashboards, and presentations.
Create and maintain ServiceNow reports and dashboards.
Develop Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
Use advanced Excel for large-scale data analysis, reconciliation, pivot tables, and reporting.
Support procurement forecasting, contract modifications, and vendor payments.
Improve telecom expense-management processes and automate manual reporting activities.
Present analytical findings, financial impacts, and recommendations to leadership.

Required Skills

Hands-on Telecom Expense Management (TEM) experience.
Strong telecom invoice auditing and analysis experience.
Experience analyzing wireless and/or wireline carrier billing.
Experience with carrier billing from providers such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, or similar.
Proven experience identifying billing errors, overcharges, unused services, and discrepancies.
Experience working with very large datasets and reports.
Advanced Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex data analysis.
Strong financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis experience.
Vendor expense and payment analysis experience.
Strong data reconciliation and analytical skills.
Experience identifying spending trends and cost-saving opportunities.
Excellent reporting and presentation skills.
Ability to clearly communicate analytical findings to leadership.

ServiceNow reporting and dashboard experience.
PeopleSoft experience.
Power BI dashboard and reporting experience.
Database and data-analysis tools.
Process automation and workflow improvement experience.
Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills.
Experience supporting large enterprise, government, transportation, telecom, or TEM environments.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
