We're Unloan , a start-up inside Australia's largest bank, combining the speed, autonomy and close-knit culture of a tech start-up with the scale, trust and stability of Commonwealth Bank.

You'll design, architect and build customer-facing experiences that support every stage of the home lending journey, owning solutions end to end , from implementation and testing through to deployment and production support.

Working at the f orefront of AI-enabled software engineering , you'll leverage orchestrators, harnesses and models to accelerate delivery, improve quality and help shape the future of how software is built, bringing strong technical fundamentals, curiosity, pragmatism and a bias for delivery to everything you do.

We're interested in hearing from people who:

• Have strong TypeScript, React, Next.js and Node.js development experience.
• Can design, build and consume GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Bring solid PostgreSQL expertise across modelling, migrations and optimisation.
• Understand scalable system design, distributed services and integrations.
• Write clean, secure, well-tested and maintainable production code.
• Have a strong full-cycle engineering mindset. You own what you build in production.
• Work in an AI-first way and can direct, review and refine AI-generated code.
• Understand how to leverage agentic workflows and apply sound engineering judgement.
• Balance engineering excellence with pragmatism, speed and collaboration.
