Job Description

Description

We are looking for a Help Desk/Desktop Support Analyst to deliver first-line technical assistance for end users in a busy healthcare environment. This long-term contract position is well suited to someone who combines strong troubleshooting ability with a service-oriented approach and clear communication. The role focuses on resolving day-to-day desktop, application, access, and connectivity issues while ensuring users receive prompt and attentive support. Candidates should also be prepared to complete a 4 to 5-week training program before becoming eligible for a hybrid work arrangement based on performance.

Responsibilities

Respond to user calls and service desk requests, investigate reported issues, and work toward timely resolution. Diagnose problems involving Windows-based desktops, laptops, software applications, and basic network connectivity using established support methods. Route more advanced or unresolved incidents to the appropriate technical teams with accurate documentation and context. Set up, configure, and deploy workstations, laptops, and related end-user equipment for new and existing staff.

Support user administration tasks such as account setup, password assistance, access updates, and permission adjustments within Active Directory and related systems. Record troubleshooting steps, outcomes, and follow-up actions in the ticketing system to maintain clear service history. Explain technical solutions in a user-friendly manner and provide dependable customer support to employees with varying levels of technical knowledge. Contribute to additional IT support activities and operational projects as business needs require.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in help desk, desktop support, technical support, or a similar IT support function. Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, including Windows 10. Working knowledge of Active Directory and user account administration. Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, login, and connectivity issues in a structured and efficient way. Experience using a ticket-based service desk system to track incidents and resolutions. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a consistent customer-focused approach.

Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Availability to attend a 4 to 5-week training program and adapt to a hybrid schedule after successful completion and demonstrated performance.
