This role partners closely with creative, marketing, and brand teams to understand asset needs, usage patterns, and downstream workflows. The librarian serves as the primary owner of the AEM asset library, establishing and enforcing metadata standards, optimizing asset discoverability, and ensuring that teams have the tools, structure, and access they need to work efficiently and consistently across the organization.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day management, organization, and quality of the digital asset library within Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets.
  • Develop, document, and enforce metadata schemas, controlled vocabularies, and taxonomy standards to support consistent asset description and retrieval.
  • Define, refine, and improve asset ingestion, cataloging, and tagging workflows to ensure assets are properly prepared for use across channels.
  • Monitor and improve asset discoverability through consistent metadata governance, quality checks, and enforcement of standards.
  • Evaluate the existing digital asset management tool stack and recommend enhancements, integrations, or process improvements to support downstream workflows.
  • Create, deliver, and maintain user training materials, guides, and system documentation for AEM Assets and related processes.
  • Manage user roles and permissions, ensuring appropriate and secure access to assets across teams and business units.
  • Track, analyze, and report on asset usage, trends, and performance using available analytics tools to inform content strategy and system improvements.
  • Assist with rights management, including usage rights, expirations, and compliance, and support asset lifecycle planning from creation through archival or retirement.
  • Contribute to the overall digital asset governance strategy and best practices, aligning with broader content and brand governance initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain DAM governance documentation, policies, and best practices to ensure consistency, compliance, and trust in the system.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for asset reuse, metadata quality, and digital asset governance across the enterprise.
  • Develop and support a DAM Center of Excellence by facilitating stakeholder engagement, training, certifications, and cross-team knowledge sharing.
  • Act as a central point of contact for questions related to asset access, training, metadata standards, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with IT, marketing, creative, and other stakeholders to ensure the DAM environment supports evolving business needs.
  • May perform other related duties and special projects as directed by leadership.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of digital asset management principles, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Strong understanding of digital file types, specifications, and common design formats, including image, video, audio, and document standards.
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Assets or a comparable enterprise DAM system.
  • Proven organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in managing large volumes of assets and metadata.
  • Skilled in written and verbal communication, with the ability to train, support, and influence users with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments with diverse needs, priorities, and workflows.
  • Experience building or supporting content governance strategies, including data dictionaries, metadata models, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to act as a reference point and trusted advisor for asset access, training, and lifecycle knowledge across enterprise teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process gaps and propose practical solutions.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
