Prepress Technician

TSG - The Sheridan Group seeks a detail-oriented Prepress Technician to support high-impact public affairs and advocacy campaigns. Working within our Printing Media team, you'll prepare and optimize digital files for digital and offset production, ensuring color accuracy, layout integrity, and timely delivery. You'll collaborate closely with account, design, and production staff in a fast-paced, boutique environment, troubleshooting file issues, managing proofs, and keeping complex projects organized from client handoff through final output.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review client-supplied files for print readiness
• Preflight, correct, and optimize layouts, fonts, and images
• Manage color profiles, proofing, and press-ready PDFs
• Create impositions, bleeds, and crops for various presses
• Coordinate with designers, account teams, and vendors on specs and schedules
• Troubleshoot file, RIP, and output issues under tight deadlines
• Maintain organized digital asset and version control workflows
• Support quick-turn public affairs and advocacy campaign materials
