Senior UC Network Engineer with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior UC Network Engineer to support a long-term client in the government and defense industry at Scott Air Force Base, IL. The Senior UC Network Engineer role requires working onsite 4 days per week at Scott Air Force Base. The Senior UC Network Engineer will serve as a trusted technical advisor, providing expertise across enterprise networking, unified communications, and infrastructure lifecycle management in a highly secure environment.

Responsibilities of the Senior UC Network Engineer include: • Act as the primary technical advisor to stakeholders, providing guidance on enterprise networking and unified communications initiatives. • Manage and optimize Cisco Unified Communications environments including Call Manager, Jabber, PSTN connectivity, and gateway protocols. • Troubleshoot and support complex networking infrastructure spanning Layer 1, Layer 2, routing, switching, spanning tree, and firewall policy administration. • Lead infrastructure lifecycle management efforts, ensuring network and collaboration platforms remain secure, compliant, and highly available. • Partner with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and enhance enterprise UC and network solutions across the organization.

Requirements of the Senior UC Network Engineer include: • Active Secret Security Clearance required. • 8+ years of professional experience supporting enterprise networking and collaboration/unified communications environments. • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Unified Communications technologies including Call Manager and Jabber. • Deep knowledge of firewall policies, Layer 1/Layer 2 networking, routing and switching, spanning tree, gateway protocols, and PSTN environments. • CCIE Collaboration or CCNP Collaboration certification required.

Compensation for the Senior UC Network Engineer include: • $130,000 - $160,000 annually • Full Comprehensive Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, PTO, Paid Holiday and Sick Leave if Required by Law. • Long-term contract engagement • This job opens for applications on 09/26/2026.
