Role: Email Deliverability Consultant

Location : REMOTE

Duration: Part-Time

Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on consultant to diagnose and improve deliverability for our business email domains

and outreach program. You will assess the current sending setup, prioritise practical fixes, implement approved

changes and report measurable results in clear language.

Key responsibilities

• Audit every sending domain: SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX, PTR/rDNS, sending IPs and blocklist status.

• Run inbox placement tests across Gmail, Outlook.com and Microsoft 365.

• Deliver a one-page findings list ranked by impact, with the top five fixes and the expected gain for each.

• Correct authentication and alignment across all domains.

• Manage blocklist delisting and IP reputation requests with relevant providers.

• Recommend the best sending route for each domain: Microsoft 365, company mail servers, or another

service.

• Set warm-up plans and safe daily sending limits for each domain and mailbox.

• Recommend template changes that support inbox placement.

• Re-test and report before-and-after placement results.

Success measures

• Inbox placement: clear improvement within the first two weeks; 70%+ on main sending domains.

• Hard bounces: below 2% per domain per day.

• Authentication: all domains pass SPF, DKIM and DMARC alignment.

Must-have skills

• 4+ years of hands-on email deliverability experience, including cold B2B outreach (not only newsletters or

transactional email).

• Strong knowledge of SPF, DKIM, DMARC and rDNS; ability to read and explain email headers and bounce

codes.

• Experience with blocklist delisting (Spamhaus, UCEPROTECT, Microsoft), Google Postmaster Tools, and

Microsoft SNDS.

• Working knowledge of Postfix or a similar mail server, and Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online administration.

• Experience with placement testing tools such as GlockApps or MailReach, and email list verification.

• Clear written English and the ability to explain findings simply to a non-technical audience.

Good to have

• Experience with Amazon SES, Zoho Campaigns, or Mailgun.

• Knowledge of US CAN-SPAM rules and cold-email best practice.

• Experience in the recruiting or IT services industry.
