Title: STIBO MDM Expert
Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid-Onsite)
12+ Month Contract
Must Have Skills:
5+ years of overall experience in Master Data Management, Product Information Management, or related data governance disciplines
2-3+ years of hands-on configuration experience with Stibo STEP (object modeling, match/merge, workflow, business rules)
Working knowledge of Snowflake — able to understand and validate how mastered records and xref keys land in a Snowflake-based analytical platform
Demonstrated experience designing match/merge and survivorship rules for party/account-type master data
Strong understanding of MDM governance concepts: golden records, stewardship workflows, data lineage, and source-system reconciliation
Excellent written documentation skills — configuration specs, rule definitions, and runbooks must be audit-ready
Strong English communication skills for daily collaboration with onshore Developer, QA, and business stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills:
P&C insurance domain experience — familiarity with Account, Producer, Broker, and Product/Coverage hierarchy concepts
Experience with regulatory frameworks relevant to insurance master data (NAIC, BCBS 239, statutory reporting)
Exposure to Snowflake medallion architecture (Abstract / Data Vault / Data Store) or similar layered data platforms
Stibo STEP certification(s)
Prior experience training or mentoring internal stewards on Stibo Workbench
Detailed Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on Stibo STEP Subject Matter Expert to lead domain modeling, match/merge configuration, survivorship rule design, and stewardship workflow setup for the initial rollout of our enterprise Master Data Management platform. This is the technical anchor role for the program — the SME is responsible for translating insurance business rules for including but not limited to Account, Entity Management, Producer, Broker, and Product Hierarchy domains into a working Stibo STEP configuration, and for enabling a Snowflake-based downstream integration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead object, attribute, and classification model design for domains in Stibo STEP
Configure deterministic and probabilistic match/merge rules; define confidence thresholds per domain
Design survivorship and golden-record assembly logic (source priority, recency, completeness)
Build STEP business rules for validation, standardization, and enrichment
Design stewardship workflows and Workbench task queues for match review and exception handling
Configure reference data hierarchies (LOB, coverage/peril codes, jurisdiction, carrier legal entity, ACORD-aligned code sets)
Define the outbound publish/syndication contract (golden records + xref keys) for downstream Snowflake consumption
Partner with the Developer to validate the Stibo-to-Snowflake integration design and troubleshoot configuration-level issues during pipeline build
Support unit testing, cross-functional testing, and UAT cycles as the configuration authority
Produce configuration documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials suitable for steward and admin handoff
Required Qualifications
5+ years of overall experience in Master Data Management, Product Information Management, or related data governance disciplines
