Job Description

Client / Organization: Oklahoma State Department of Health (OSDH)
Job Title: Project Manager
Interview Required: 1-round interview (over Microsoft Teams or in-person) for top-qualified candidates.
Location: PMO in 123 Robert S Kerr Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73102, United States
Duration: 12 months with the option to renew
Schedule: 40 hours per week accrued between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday–Friday
Work Arrangement: Hybrid — minimum of 3 days per week on-site, with additional days required depending on project needs
 
Job Summary The Project Manager will direct, coordinate, implement, execute, control, and close OSDH projects within the agency's PMO. The role involves managing vendor relationships, removing blockers, leading team facilitation, and ensuring deliverables align with PMO guidelines and state/federal rules.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Manage medium to extra-large complexity projects through the full lifecycle.
     
  • Execute standard PM deliverables: scope, risk mitigation, change management, budgeting, stakeholder communication, and project closure.
     
  • Generate status reports and track key metrics for the PMO dashboard.
     
  • Acquire, forecast, and manage project resources and project teams.
     
  • Facilitate and manage contract processes from initiation through closure.
     
  • Perform gap analysis, root cause analysis, and provide action-oriented recommendations.
     
  • Lead group facilitation activities across agency departments.
     
Requirements & Skills
 
  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
     
  • Strong familiarity with or ability to use MS Project.
     
  • Solid understanding of the PMI PMBOK Guide and Standards.
     
  • Strong verbal/written communication, analytical, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
