Job Description

Job Title - PeopleSoft Time & Labor (T&L) Functional Lead

Contract Duration – 6+ Months

Remote   

 


Core Responsibilities
• Module Configuration: Design and configure core PeopleSoft T&L setup tables, including Time Reporter Types, Work Schedules, Taskgroups, Elapse/Punch Time templates, and Rapid Entry configurations.
• Rule Authoring & Calculation: Build, maintain, and troubleshoot complex Time Administration (TimeAdmin) rules to automate overtime calculations, shift differentials, premium pay, and holiday rules.
• Integration Management: Ensure seamless data flow and integration between T&L, PeopleSoft North American Payroll (via the compensation/payable time interface) and Human Resources (HCM).
• Testing & Validation: Assist in the creation of test scenarios and scripts for User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and parallel payroll cycles.


Technical & Professional Qualifications
• PeopleSoft HCM Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2, specifically specializing in Time & Labor.
• SQL Skills: Proficiency in writing SQL queries to analyze data, troubleshoot processing exceptions, and validate payable time data directly in the database.
• Tool Familiarity: Strong understanding of PeopleTools frameworks (like Process Scheduler, Query Manager, and Workflow/AWE) from a functional perspective.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of complex labor laws, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) regulations, and union collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
PeopleSoft Time & Labor (T&L) Functional Lead acts as the primary expert responsible for designing and configuring the PeopleSoft Time & Labor module. They bridge the gap between business requirements (HR, Payroll, Union rules) and the technical development team.
