Job Role: Senior SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) Engineer

Location: Remote

Job Description:

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ architecture, configuration, customization, deployment, and support.
  • Experience with application onboarding using connectors such as Active Directory, LDAP, JDBC, delimited file, REST, and Web Services.
  • Proficiency in Java, BeanShell, XML, JSON, SQL, REST APIs, and object-oriented development concepts.
  • Hands-on experience developing and troubleshooting IdentityIQ rules, workflows, forms, tasks, policies, certifications, lifecycle events, and custom reports.
  • Experience implementing Joiner, Mover, and Leaver processes, birthright access, provisioning, deprovisioning, access requests, and approval workflows.
  • Experience with identity aggregation, account aggregation, correlation, identity refresh, reconciliation, and entitlement management.
  • Understanding of RBAC, role modeling or role mining, Segregation of Duties, access reviews, least privilege, and audit controls.
  • Experience integrating IdentityIQ with directories, databases, HR sources, ticketing platforms, cloud or SaaS applications, and enterprise applications.
  • Ability to diagnose IdentityIQ application, connector, workflow, task, database, and performance issues using logs and structured troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC, Git or equivalent version control, code reviews, CI/CD practices, release management, testing, and production change controls.
  • Experience with IdentityIQ upgrades, patching, migration, environment promotion, and implementation documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business access requirements into secure technical designs.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Analyze IAM requirements and create solution designs aligned to security, audit, operational, and application needs.
  • Configure and customize SailPoint IdentityIQ components, including connectors, rules, workflows, forms, certifications, policies, roles, and lifecycle events.
  • Lead or independently execute end-to-end application onboarding, from source analysis and mapping through testing, deployment, and production stabilization.
  • Develop and support provisioning and deprovisioning integrations, including handling failures, retries, reconciliation, and exception scenarios.
  • Implement and enhance access-request, approval, certification, policy-violation, and Joiner-Mover-Leaver processes.
  • Create unit-test cases, support system and user-acceptance testing, resolve defects, and maintain traceability of requirements to implementation.
  • Perform code reviews and enforce reusable, supportable, secure development standards.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents and service requests; perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive fixes.
  • Prepare technical design documents, configuration workbooks, operational runbooks, deployment instructions, and knowledge-transfer materials.
  • Coordinate with client stakeholders, application owners, infrastructure, database, security, and support teams to manage dependencies and delivery risks.
  • Provide technical mentoring to junior engineers and contribute to estimation, planning, status reporting, and continuous improvement.
