Full Stack Developer – C#/.NET Core & Angular

Location: New York City – Hybrid
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Employment Type: Contract - W2

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join its Information Technology team supporting and enhancing critical payments and treasury platforms.

This is a hands-on development role focused primarily on C#, .NET Core, Angular, SQL, and REST API development. The developer will contribute to solution design, new feature development, system enhancements, production releases, troubleshooting, bug fixes, and ongoing application support.

The team also supports a significant enterprise API environment with approximately 100 APIs. As part of the role, the consultant will learn and support the company's MuleSoft environment, including troubleshooting and development as needed.

The long-term workload is expected to be approximately 70% full stack/payments development and 30% MuleSoft support and development. Previous MuleSoft experience is preferred but not required for a strong full stack developer who is interested in learning the platform.

The developer will work closely with a small, collaborative team of approximately five professionals based in New York City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and enhance applications using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, Angular, and SQL
  • Build, enhance, and support RESTful APIs and enterprise integrations
  • Support applications related to payments and treasury operations
  • Participate in solution design and technical discussions
  • Develop new functionality and enhance existing applications
  • Troubleshoot application issues and perform bug fixes
  • Support production releases and ongoing production environments
  • Write and optimize SQL queries within relational database environments, primarily Microsoft SQL Server
  • Develop and maintain unit tests and follow software development best practices
  • Support and troubleshoot the organization's MuleSoft environment
  • Perform MuleSoft development as needed as responsibilities expand
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts to understand and translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Work within Agile development processes using Git and modern source-control practices
  • Contribute to upcoming system improvements, including potential AI-related enhancements
  • Work effectively with additional technologies and services, including Java-based services and MEAN-stack applications when needed
Required Qualifications
  • Strong hands-on development experience with C# and .NET Core/.NET Framework
  • Strong experience with ASP.NET
  • Hands-on front-end development experience using Angular
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting RESTful APIs
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and development best practices
  • Experience with unit testing
  • Strong debugging, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments
  • Experience with Git or similar source-control tools
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Ability to troubleshoot production applications and integrations
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing reliable, maintainable code
  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MuleSoft
  • Experience with API management, middleware, or enterprise integration platforms
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps
  • Experience within financial services
  • Experience with payments, treasury, or SWIFT systems
  • Familiarity with Java-based services or MEAN-stack applications
  • Understanding of fundamental application security, cybersecurity, and encryption concepts

Interview Process

Candidates should be prepared for a technical interview process consisting of:

1. Online Technical Assessment
The assessment focuses on practical engineering fundamentals rather than trick questions and includes:

  • C# coding, debugging, logic, and edge cases
  • Angular fundamentals
  • SQL fundamentals
  • Cybersecurity and encryption concepts
  • Logic and problem-solving questions
  • A practical algorithm-style coding problem

2. Technical Interview
Approximately 90-minute remote technical interview with onshore and offshore technical leads.

3. Final Interview
Selected candidates will complete a final on-site interview at the New York City office.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on full stack engineer who is strong in C#/.NET Core, Angular, SQL, and API development, enjoys solving technical problems, and is interested in expanding their integration experience by learning and supporting MuleSoft.
