Maintenance - Tire Technician

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionCORE48 is seeking a Maintenance Ð Tire Technician to help keep commercial andpassenger vehicles operating safely and efficiently. This hands-on position is responsible forinspecting, repairing, installing, maintaining, and servicing tires while supporting overall fleetreliability and safety.

What You'll DoInspect tires and casings for holes, tears, defects, wear, damage, and properinflationService tires on Class 8 tractors and trailersMount, dismount, balance, repair, and rotate commercial truck tiresIdentify proper tire size and ply based on vehicle specificationsIdentify and repair punctures in tubeless tiresInflate tires to proper air pressure according to product information and industrystandardsSafely operate tire service equipment, jacks, torque tools, air systems, balancingmachines, and hand/power toolsRemove and install vehicle wheelsMonitor tread depth to ensure DOT requirements are metMaintain tire inventory and accurate service recordsReport tire conditions to supervisorsKeep the work area clean and organizedWork with the maintenance team to support proper tire alignment and fleet reliabilityQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in the company's randomdrug and alcohol programWillingness to learn and work as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to read and understand technical service manualsAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as neededAbility to lift heavy equipment and work in varying environmental conditionsPreferred: Entry-level mechanical knowledge and experience.

Physical Requirements:This is a physically demanding, hands-on position requiring frequent standing, walking,climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, twisting, and maneuvering intohard-to-reach areas. Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs. overhead and carry or move objects up to 75lbs.

Work Environment :Work is performed in shop, office, light industrial, and outdoor environments with exposureto varying weather conditions, noise, fumes, dust, odors, oil, grease, and gases. Safety-conscious work practices are required at all times. Apply Today
