Senior Engineer – Safety & Environmental Engineering (Product Safety) | Birmingham, United Kingdom | Hybrid

The Role

Support the development, delivery, and maintenance of the Product Safety Management System and Safety Case.
Ensure products are safe for ownership, operation, and maintenance while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
Undertake product safety hazard and risk identification, management, and assessment.
Contribute to the development of Project Safety Management Plans and Safety Case Reports.
Administer and manage the Project Hazard Log, ensuring hazards are effectively tracked and mitigated.
Apply STEM knowledge to analyze technical data throughout the product lifecycle phases.

What You'll Need

A STEM degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety management systems.
Proficiency in hazard and risk identification and assessment techniques.
Ability to contribute to the creation of robust safety cases and supporting documentation.
Experience with managing project hazard logs.
Understanding of engineering and programme requirements.
