Senior Engineer – Safety & Environmental Engineering (Product Safety) | Birmingham, United Kingdom | Hybrid

The Role

  • Support the development, delivery, and maintenance of the Product Safety Management System and Safety Case.
  • Ensure products are safe for ownership, operation, and maintenance while adhering to all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Undertake product safety hazard and risk identification, management, and assessment.
  • Contribute to the development of Project Safety Management Plans and Safety Case Reports.
  • Administer and manage the Project Hazard Log, ensuring hazards are effectively tracked and mitigated.
  • Apply STEM knowledge to analyze technical data throughout the product lifecycle phases.

What You'll Need

  • A STEM degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety management systems.
  • Proficiency in hazard and risk identification and assessment techniques.
  • Ability to contribute to the creation of robust safety cases and supporting documentation.
  • Experience with managing project hazard logs.
  • Understanding of engineering and programme requirements.
