Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Android Developer with strong expertise in native Android application development and a solid understanding of the Financial Services domain.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining high-performance Android applications. The candidate should have extensive hands-on experience with Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, modern Android architecture, API integrations, and mobile application security.

Experience developing secure, scalable mobile applications for banking or financial services is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.

• Build scalable, high-performance, and user-friendly mobile applications.

• Develop reusable components and implement modern Android application architecture.

• Integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers, and product teams.

• Implement secure authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms.

• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and responsiveness.

• Perform debugging, troubleshooting, unit testing, and integration testing.

• Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards.

• Support application releases, production issues, and ongoing enhancements.

• Follow Agile development methodologies and participate in sprint activities.

Mandatory Technical Skills

• 12+ years of overall IT experience with strong hands-on Android development experience.

• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java.

• Extensive experience with Android SDK and Android Studio.

• Strong understanding of Android architecture components, including MVVM, MVP, and Clean Architecture.

• Experience with Jetpack Compose and Android Jetpack libraries.

• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, Retrofit, and OkHttp.

• Experience with Coroutines, Flow, and multithreading.

• Knowledge of SQLite, Room Database, and local data persistence.

• Experience with Android application security, encryption, and secure data storage.

• Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and build automation.

• Experience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks.

Financial Services Domain Experience

• Experience developing mobile applications for banking or financial services.

• Understanding of secure financial transactions and payment processing.

• Experience with digital banking, mobile payments, account management, and transaction history.

• Knowledge of authentication, MFA, biometrics, and secure API communication.

• Understanding of financial data security and regulatory compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Firebase and push notifications.

• Knowledge of Android application performance monitoring and crash analytics.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, Espresso, and Mockito.

• Exposure to microservices-based backend integrations.

• Experience publishing and managing applications through Google Play Store.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A highly experienced, hands-on Senior Android Developer with strong Kotlin and Java expertise, proven experience building enterprise-grade native Android applications, and exposure to banking or financial services applications. The candidate should be capable of independently handling application development, integrations, security, performance optimization, and production support.
