Position: Operations Risk Assessment Analyst
Location: Pentagon
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire (4.5 years left on contract)
MUST HAVES:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI (No Sponsorship available) | Bachelor's & 5yrs OR Associates & 7yrs OR 9+ yrs total

The Cyber Operations Risk Assessment Analyst supports cybersecurity risk management and operational awareness efforts by identifying, analyzing, and reporting cyber threats, vulnerabilities, incidents, and risk indicators across enterprise environments. This role works closely with government stakeholders, cyber operations teams, and leadership to provide actionable insights that support risk-based decision making and mission objectives.
Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and report on cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, incidents, and operational risk indicators.
• Monitor and assess cybersecurity data to identify trends, patterns, and emerging risks.
• Develop reports, briefings, and risk assessments for senior leaders and key stakeholders.
• Provide visibility into security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threat activities across government and partner organizations.
• Support vulnerability management and incident reporting processes in coordination with cybersecurity operations teams.
• Translate complex technical findings into clear, concise information for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Assist in the development of risk mitigation recommendations and support cybersecurity decision-making efforts.
• Collaborate with DoD, federal agency, and partner organizations to maintain situational awareness of cyber risks and threats.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Intelligence Studies, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in cybersecurity, intelligence analysis, cyber operations, vulnerability management, incident response, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity threat analysis, vulnerability management, incident reporting, and cyber operations processes.
• Experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and reporting cybersecurity information with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate cybersecurity data and support risk-based decision making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting U.S. Government agencies, national security organizations, Security Operations Centers (SOCs), Cyber Operations Centers (COCs), or incident response environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity or intelligence missions.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, risk management methodologies, and federal cybersecurity policies.
• Experience preparing executive-level briefings, reports, and risk assessments for senior leadership.
