Senior Project Manager, Cyber Security
Location: Providence, RI
Role Overview
Our organization is undertaking a critical HIPAA remediation initiative focused primarily on pharmacy operations. The Senior Project Manager will drive this essential effort, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and compliance objectives stay on track. Technical resources are already in place; this role requires a structured leader to bring momentum and accountability to the initiative.
Key Responsibilities

• Own the project schedule, drive timelines, and ensure steady forward progress across all remediation workstreams.
• Develop, maintain, and execute a comprehensive project plan addressing identified HIPAA deficiencies.
• Coordinate with technical teams responsible for implementing fixes in backups, logging, access controls, and access reviews.
• Provide clear communication to stakeholders, including pharmacy leadership and internal compliance teams.
• Identify risks, escalate blockers, and ensure issues are resolved quickly.
• Track deliverables, dependencies, and milestones, and report status to leadership.
• Step in quickly, learn the environment through knowledge transfer, and begin executing with minimal oversight.
• Bring structure and discipline to a project that requires immediate alignment and execution.

Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field of study is preferred.
Experience: Extensive project management experience with a proven track record of driving schedules, enforcing accountability, and keeping complex initiatives moving forward.
Technical Skills: Proven experience managing technology-focused projects, specifically those involving security, compliance, or infrastructure. Demonstrable ability to build detailed project plans, timelines, and reporting structures from scratch is required. Candidates must be highly self-sufficient, proactive, and comfortable executing with minimal ramp-up time.
Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with HIPAA requirements or experience within healthcare or pharmacy environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
